$\displaystyle ( a b ) = a ^{b} \times b ^{- \frac{a}{2}}$에서 $\displaystyle ( 2 \ast 4 ) \ast x = 2 ^{4} \times 4 ^{- \frac{2}{2}} = 4 x = 4 ^{x} \times x ^{- \frac{4}{2}} = 8 x ^{-2}$ $\therefore 4 ^{x} = 8$이므로 $2 ^{2x} = 2 ^{3}$이므로 $\displaystyle x = \frac{3}{2}$이다.
